Sea fishing off the Sunnmøre coast
Go sea fishing for a wide range of species on the fishing banks just off the coast of Ålesund. Three-, four-, eight- and 10-hour trips are available. Fishing equipment available for hire.

Fish species
The fjords and the ocean around Ålesund and Sunnmøre are among the best fishing spots in Norway for any saltwater fish, including cod, haddock, salmon, halibut and many more.
Season
The fjords and the ocean are rich in fish year round, but the core season is from January to October.
Where to stay
You can choose from a wide variety of hotels, hostels, campsites, fishermen's cabins ("rorbuer") and other cabins both beside the fjords, along the coast and in Ålesund itself.
Most places by the fjords and along the coast will also let you hire a boat and fishing gear. In many cases, access to a boat is included in the rent.
