Norangsdalen Valley
This is one of Norway's narrowest valleys, rich in cultural sights and experiences. Lygnstøylsvatnet Lake is the result of a landslide from Keipen in 1908. You can still see the ruins and remains of the old road, farm walls and wicket gates lying in the water. During the last century, the tourist ships anchored up at Øye. After the "Silver Anniversary Cruise" in 1993, the Norangsdalen valley acquired the nickname "The Queen's Route", and seven European queens have taken the trip through the valley since then. In Øye you will find the famous Hotel Union Øye - an attraction in itself.
Runde
Facing the ocean, on the west coast of the region lies the island of Runde. The small island has no more than 150 inhabitants, but from February to August every year the nesting season takes place and more than 500,000 birds gather on the island.
The Trollstigen Mountain Road
Experience one of Norway's most exciting tourist attractions, the Trollstigen Mountain Road, a fantastic road that winds its way up the mountain side through 11 hairpin bends. The road crosses the Stigfossen Waterfall on its way to its highest point, 852 metres above sea level.
