Grand Terminus is a classical but still modern hotel situated in a quiet neighbourhood in Bergen, just next to the railway station. Nearby, there is ample parking and a bus station, as well as stops for the airport bus and the city's tram service.
At the time of its opening in 1928, Grand Terminus was the most luxurious and fashionable hotel in town. As a unique example of the elegant Bergen Classicism style, it was the first urban hotel in Norway to be awarded status as a protected building. The hotel has since been renovated, but its classical elegance has been preserved.
The hotel's kitchen is widely known, and in Grand Whiskybar you can choose between a variety of light dishes and main courses under its six-meter high ceiling. This bar is the only Nordic whisky bar with a "Great Whisky Bars of the World" gold award.
