Trollheimen has a rich history, and it is still used for grazing, dairy farming, reindeer herding, hunting and fishing. Whether you're looking for peace and quiet or excitement, you can be sure of finding great experiences here.

Tour suggestions

The classic Trollheimen Triangle is the most famous and popular hiking route in Trollheimen, and takes three days of hiking through varied scenery in the heart of Trollheimen between traditional lodges belonging to Trondheim Tourist Association. It is most common to start from Gjevillvasshytta cabin, which is reachable by car, or Jøldalshytta which is 2.5 miles away by foot or bike. If you arrive the night before, you can start in the morning after a hearty breakfast at the lodge.

Innerdalen mountain valley and Innerdalstårnet mountain are popular hiking destinations for both families and mountain climbers. Innerdalen has frequently been called the most beautiful mountain valley in Norway and Renndølssetra summer pasture farm welcomes you with traditional food and wildlife. For those who are looking for more challenging tours, Innerdalstårnet is a favorite among mountaineers.
