Dining in Molde and Romsdal

The towns of Molde and Åndalsnes have a choice of restaurants and cafés. Both local Norwegian and international cuisine feature on the menu.

There is a great variety of roadside food and refreshments available to travelers in Molde and Romsdal - ranging from simple cafés to full-service restaurants offering varied cuisine. During the summer season you may also enjoy a meal alfresco at one of the restaurants offering outdoor service while admiring the fjord and mountain views.

Taste of Romsdal - local food

Why not take a short stop and taste the local cheese from Derinngarden or visit the farm shop Skarstua near Molde. Many of the restaurants feature local products on their menu. Why not ask for the daily special, and taste something new?

Fresh fish dinner

The little fishing village of Bud has a popular restaurant called Bryggjen, and they have a varied fish menu with local specialities.

Just a coffe break?

We recommend you try the local "vafler" (local made pancakes) at Malis Cafe, Romsdalsmuseet, or the cosy café Fole Godt with home-made pastries in Molde town centre.
