More information about Ryfylke.
The National Tourist Route Ryfylke is the longest of Norway's 18 National Tourist Routes. The 183 kilometre long route through Ryfylke along rv. 13 and fv. 520 stretches from Oanes by the Lysefjord to Hårå in Røldal.
This scenic route will bring you to stunning fjords, charming towns, sheer cliffs and a cultural landscape and museums that tells of Ryfylke's long history. The famous Lysefjord is only one of the amazing Ryfylke fjords. Jøsenfjorden, the Erfjord area and the Ryfylke islands are hidden fjord treasures well worth experiencing.
Ryfylke offers accommodation in hotels and guesthouses in small villages, campsites and holiday houses by the fjord, or at charming farms. There are hostels and mountain lodges too, including the new Preikestolen Mountain Lodge, at the starting point of the hike in Jørpeland. Read more about accommodation in Ryfylke.
