Ski boat from Stavanger

Down by the fjord, the snow rarely lingers, and spring appears early. If you want the best of both worlds, you can take the boat to your skiing destination in Ryfylke. The ski boat from Stavanger to Sauda includes a day pass to the ski lifts, and there is a free ski bus from Sauda town center to the Svandalen and Sauda ski resorts.

An excellent alternative is to explore the hiking trails along the fjord on foot, with lunch and something warm to drink in your backpack. Or just lean back and enjoy the view from the sightseeing boat from Stavanger that sails the famous Lysefjord every Wednsday to Saturday throughout the winter.

Winter fishing

Winter is a great time for fishing in the ice free fjords, especially near the islands and in the heart of Ryfylke. Afterwards, you can relax in front of the fire in a warm cabin, enjoy a sauna or a hot tub.

Other activities

Saudahallen offers different types of pools, diving boards, sauna, water slides and a sports hall as well as a gym. In addition one can attend after-ski, activities for groups and guided tours. There are different activities during the weekends throughout the season.
