Petrines Gjestgiveri in Norddal, not far from Geiranger, was voted "The best place to eat along the road in 2006".

On your way from Ålesund to Geiranger, take a short detour and find the traditional restaurant in the old house from 1916. It is a two hour drive from Ålesund.

Petrines Gjestgiveri has a small restaurant with a homely atmosphere. There is room for 40 people. Try the traditional dishes based on local ingredients. Try for example deer, kid goat, trout from the Herdal Lake, salmon, home made Crème Caramel, apple cake and strawberry cake. The home made apple juice is recommended.

Petrines Gjestgiveri has 12 rooms and 25 beds, and is a perfect place for you to spend a night or two when exploring the fjords.
