Where to stay in the Hardangerfjord Region

In Hardanger you will find accommodation that suits any budget. There is a wide range of options, from tent to hotel.

The history of tourism and travel goes a long way back in time in Hardanger. Utne hotel was established in 1722, and has been in continuous operation ever since. Utne Hotel offers a historic ambiance which is hard to rival, and is well known for its great food.

Thon Hotel Sandven in Norheimsund was established in 1857. In 2013 two new wings with rooms and apartments were added, offering a unique blend of traditions and modern architecture. Hotel Ullensvang from 1846 is owned and managed by the fifth generation of the Utne family. In 2012 new outdoor and indoor pools were added to this great hotel - also voted to be the best hotel in Norway.

Along the fjord and in the mountains there is a wide range of options for accommodation to choose from. Bed and Breakfasts, cabins, holiday homes, apartements or camping. On the Hardangervidda mountain plateau there are both staffed mountain lodges and simple self catering cabins linked with hiking trails.
