Svolvær

Svolvær is the main urban center in the Lofoten Archipelago, and has a good choice of restaurants, hotels, shops, etc. There are several art galleries in Svolvær itself and in nearby Kabelvåg. From Svolvær you can join a cruise to the narrow Trollfjord or take a hike to the top of Svolværgeita, from which you will have a fantastic panorama over the islands. Get a bird's eye view of Svolvær.

Henningsvær

In the old days Henningsvær was a natural hub of activity during the Lofoten Winter Fishery. In the 1800s, the island community prospered, and Henningsvær became one of the most prominent fishing villages in the Lofoten Islands. The islands off Henningsvær were not connected to the rest of the archipelago by bridges until 1981. Get a bird's eye view of Henningsvær.

Reine

This picturesque fishing  village was once voted the most beautiful place in Norway. Rent out a rorbu (fisherman's cabin) and spend a few days hiking or cycling in the area, or explore the Reinefjord on the local passenger ferry. Get a bird's eye view of Reine.

Moskenes

The island of Moskenes has plenty to offer those who want a date with the natural elements, including Moskstrømmen, one of the fiercest and most dangerous maelstroms in the world. On Moskenes you find traces of settlements dating back thousands of years. The gigantic Kollhellaren Cave in Refsvika is a coastal cavern with approximately 3,000-year-old cave paintings. Get a bird's eye view of Moskenes.

Å

Å, the latest village along the Lofoten National Tourist Route, is home to the Stockfish Museum and the Norwegian Fishing Village Museum. Get a bird's eye view of Å.
