Cyclists will put their endurance to the test in this international bike race over 434 miles through the landscape of Northern Norway.

For the third time in history, Norway will host the northernmost road cycling competition in the world, the Arctic Race of Norway.

From 13 – 16 August, visitors to Troms and Nordland can watch international and Norwegian cyclists test their endurance and courage over four stages of winding and mountainous roads.

Last year the stages took place in Hammerfest, The North Cape, Honningsvåg, Alta and Tromsø. This year the race will take place in some of the most picturesque landscape Norway has to offer, and the final stage of the 2015 race will see the cyclists cross the finish line in Narvik.

The event organizers are the Amaury Sports Organisation from France, which also manages famous races such as Tour de France, Vuelta a Espana, and the Dakar Rally.

The four stages of the Arctic Race of Norway 2015 are:

  • Stage 1 (13 August): Harstad – Harstad (130 miles)
  • Stage 2 (14 August): Evenskjer – Setermoen (96 miles)
  • Stage 3 (15 August): Senja (Finnsnes) – Målselv (108 miles)
  • Stage 4 (16 August): Narvik – Narvik (99 miles)
