This is the route that the Norwegian Queen Sonja enjoyed so much in 1994, and which was thereafter called the Queen's Route. The trail can be completed as a round trip (6 - 7 hours) starting and ending at either Stø or Nyksund. Both villages are popular vantage points for viewing the midnight sun.

Svællingen with its 400 small islands is a beautiful area to go paddling. At Husstad you will find "Eye in stone", Artscape Nordland. The trek up to the peak of Møysalen from the Lonkanfjord is a wild experience that takes you through a fantastic coastal alpine landscape. The reward is a panoramic view from the top. On a clear day one can see more than 20 different mountain peaks in 20 different municipalities, and if you are lucky, you can even see Kebnekaise Mountain in Sweden.
