Getting to Kragerø and around

Getting to Kragerø is easy either by your own car or by coach. The new main road from highway E18 has improved communications into the town.

It is easy and convenient to use public transportation when travelling to Kragerø. Modern express coaches have frequent departures from Oslo and from Southern Norway. The coaches also correspond with routes to and from Western Norway. For timetables and booking, please contact Nor-Way Bussekspress.

Local busses with the company Nettbuss take care of transportation in and around town with good connections to the trains.

Kragerø's three ferries, the "M/F Kragerø", the "B/F Jesper" and the "B/F Naus", carry cars, freight and people out to and between the largest islands. Cruises among the lovely coastal islands are also set up all year round with the "M/F Kragerø".

Taxi boats carry passengers to and from their cottages anywhere among the islands. The taxi boats are moored at their own pier just beyond the ferry quay.
