The journey along the sea. On two wheels or four. It does not matter. Imagine the opposite of monotony. Then you will know what the North Sea Road has to offer. A journey along the sea, from Kristiansand in the south to Haugesund in the north/west. This is the North sea road!
There are lots of activities along the road, rafting, deep sea fishing, hiking and shopping. Plan your holiday and mix it together with festivals in one of the many towns you drive trough. The shopping is great whether you are in the big city or in the cosy small villages where you´ll find unique shops.
And the accommodation? Why not spend the night in one of the many lighthouses, or a historical hotel, or maybe you´ll prefer to stay in a tent in one of the many camping places.
There are many fantastic experiences when it comes to food along Nordsjøvegen. Local restaurants with local food and with international inspired menues. Stop by one of the many piers and buy shrimps straight from the fishing boats and enjoy the meal while watching the beautiful blue sea.
Drive how far you want, stop for as long as you want, rent a bike or a boat and enjoy the beautiful nature. A trip along the North Sea Road can be done in a day, a week or a month.
