For 20 years, Årabrot have been chronically unpredictable, acutely impossible, eternally difficult and a hell of a band to put in a box. There is hardly a genre the band has not taken by surprise with their huge guitar amps and militant riffs.

On their 2021 full-length, the band placed themselves in the category of “Norwegian Gothic”. The follow-up “Of Darkness and Light” introduced a collaboration with Alain Johannes (Queens of the Stone Age, PJ Harvey and more).

From a disused church building in the Swedish forests, the duo has collaborated with an impressive all-star team of musicians, designers, filmmakers and photographers, who have helped make Årabrot’s universe something groundbreaking and bizarre.

Årabrot is often referred to as "the rock band of rock bands", which was confirmed by Sivert Høyem after the concert at Blå Rock, when he wrote on Instagram "Dont know what I was expecting, but I never expected it to be THIS F**KING INCREDIBLE! GO SEE THEM!!!"

Årabrot's new album 'Rite Of Dionysus' will be released on August 29th. The album was produced by Alain Johannes (Queens Of The Stone Age, PJ Harvey etc.) and was recorded in the band's own church.
