2025: Hardcore in Norway
Release concert Saturday 3 May Verkstedhallen & Lobbyen Ticket price NOK 275 + tax
Lineup:
Skyggesiden, Run Dry, Gnasher, Lâche, Mørbank
GNASHER:
Furious and fast Gnasher have been wreaking havoc on stages in Trondheim and Oslo since 2021. With ten feet placed around in genre landscapes bordering on hardcore, these DIY boys have released music that is reminiscent of a lot, but with a peculiarity that belongs only to them. Angry, sweaty and vulnerable.
LÂCHE is a band from Trondheim that is difficult to pin down in terms of genre. There are nods to hardcore punk, old emo and gloomy postpunk. Songs are performed violently, but it is also melodic and can sometimes approach danceability, if possible in a slightly twisted and introspective way.
They mostly keep a low profile and releases come out at irregular intervals, often without warning. Despite the fact that the band operates and thrives in the DIY underground, the previous EP surprisingly attracted a lot of attention, was played on NRK P13 and was mentioned in several publications.
MØRBANK:
Mørbank is a Trondheim-based band consisting of three guys who have taken part in the underground scene in Trondheim. With catchy riffs, explosive drums and raw vocals, they are difficult not to notice. The band mixes genres such as punk, metal and alternative rock. In January 2024, Mørbank released their debut EP, but has several fresh songs in stock....
RUN DRY:
Run Dry was established in 2020 and has since combined various inspirations that vary from skate punk to black metal with an expression that is strongly rooted in hardcore.
The lyrics often address topics such as social engagement and mental health in the hope of a better future. Featured at 2025: Hardcore in Norway is "We're Fucked" - the song that started the whole project and is a taste of the debut album that is about to see the light of day!
SKYGGESIDEN:
Skyggesiden came together in the fall of 2023 with the aim of playing hard and fast and creating their own interpretation of classic Norwegian hardcore punk.
Demo recording was done live at the practice barracks/studio barracks at UFFA.
The first concert was at UFFA-huset on February 10, 2024, since then we have played several concerts in Trondheim as well as a trip to Blitz in Oslo and Ungdomshuset in Copenhagen in September.
