The symphony orchestra of the University of Bergen (USO), conducted by Bjørn Breistein, celebrates 40 years and invites to a concert with Scandinavian music and a hint of new year's concert. We are in the privileged situation to have one of our conductors, Eirik Gjerdevik, as soloist for this evening! We will play music by Johan Halvorsen (Norwegian rhapsody no.1), Pauline Hall (Verlaine Suite), Valborg Aulin (Dans la calme de nuit), Edward Elgar ("Nimrod"), Vittorio Monti (Csárdás for tuba and orchestra), Charles Gounod (Waltz from "Faust"), Erland von Koch (concerto for tuba and strings) and Hector Berlioz (Hungarian March).
