Discover your creativity with our exciting ceramics course, which explores both modeling and throwing.

The course is called a 7-week course because we used to meet once a week. We have tightened up the program a bit, so 7 weeks is a little misleading, but we love the name so much that we decided to keep it despite the inaccuracy! But we are open to suggestions for a new name :)

The course consists of a total of 27 teaching hours, spread over 6 days from 5pm to 9pm, and a 3-hour glazing course. We work in small groups of 6-12 people. The course is primarily in Norwegian, but English or German is also fine. The course starts on time. The course is very suitable for beginners or those who have worked with clay before and want a refresher and practice. The modeling course is led by Famke, and the throwing course is led by Franziska. Throwing requires a lot of practice, so we have set aside a total of 12 hours of supervised practice.

In the modeling section, you will learn more about different hand-building techniques, so there is a lot of variety here!

We also set aside time for decorating towards the end of the course—there are many exciting things you can try out here.

When everything is finished decorating, we give the objects plenty of time to dry before they are bisque fired. Then we meet again for glazing.

Everything you have made can be collected three weeks after glazing.

After completing the course, you will be well equipped to use the Open Workshop on your own.
