😎 Welcome to a warm evening in Borggården with Odd Nordstoga, 9 Grader Nord and Elle Maija!


🎶 Thursday, July 31st will be a beautiful summer evening with high-level music from three strong Norwegian artists, all of whom play catchy pop and rock with solid nutrition from their own roots. 

ODD NORDSTOGA is a beloved national treasure who hardly needs any further introduction. A concert with Nordstoga comes with a guarantee of quality, sparkling musicality and touching everyday poetry with a twinkle in his eye.
As a lyricist, Nordstoga hits a nerve in us, and as a melody maker he draws inspiration from both folk music and timeless Americana and pop of classic mold. 

9 GRADER NORD is a Bergen-based Tamil folk rock band inspired by Carnatic music, baila and Tamil folk music. The band consists of sisters Mira and Dipha Thiruchelvam, Jakob Sisselson Hamre and Jakob Sønnesyn. They are known for their energetic, rebellious and confident stage performances and a unique soundscape using instruments such as bamboo flute and cajon.
Since their start in 2017, they have played at major festivals, clubs and TV shows, they have collaborated with the Norwegian Broadcasting Orchestra and interpreted Munch's paintings. Their debut album "Jaffna" (2019) won the Subjektprisen, and their follow-up "Yalpanam" (2023) earned them a Spellemannpris in 2024. The albums explore identity and cultural heritage, closely linked to their parents' escape from the civil war in Sri Lanka. 

ELLE MAIJA became a big talking point during this year's Trondheim Calling and was among the artists who impressed us the most. It is therefore a great pleasure to be able to present her to a larger audience in Borggården during Olavsfest!
Elle Maija is a Northern Sami artist from Karasjok, known to many through "Stjernekamp" in 2023. She brings the joik into the encounter with blues, pop and rock, and builds on traditions from both sides with lyrics in both Sami and Norwegian. As a guitarist and vocalist, she has made a mark in Sami music since her teens. She is known as the solo guitarist in Rolffa, but has also worked and played with, among others, Mari Boine.
