Join us for a fantastic concert experience with Adrian Myhr Trio on Sunday, September 21st at 2pm - jazz, contemporary music and Norwegian folk music -
Adrian Myhr Trio consists of: Adrian Myhr - double bass & compositions Rasmus Kjorstad - violin & langeleik Jan Martin Gismervik - drums, hanging vibraphone & harmonium
Adrian Myhr Trio is at the intersection of jazz, contemporary music and Norwegian folk music. You can also hear hints of raga music from India, as well as Albanian singing tradition. The music is evocative, melodious, meditative and has an acoustic expression with a good deal of use of improvisation. Double bassist Adrian Myhr has been a central figure in the Norwegian music scene for 20 years. They released the album Kokong in 2024. The album is a low-key, melodious and evocative album, where Myhr's compositional sides also shine on an equal footing with his ingenious double bass playing. The album received many good reviews, and Ballade.no wrote, among other things: "...it is music that wants to reach you as a listener, no matter what your references are - it is music that communicates" - Torkjell Hovland, Ballade.no
