ALBUM RELEASE: GHETTO GHOULS + Gnasher + Nagirčalmmiid
Friday 18 October. Doors open 20:00 - concert starts 21:00. 18 years age limit.
Trondheim's own GHETTO GHOULS are now finally ready to release their first full-length VIGILANTE CRUSADERS. With a good dose of crossover thrash, they take the Lobby to celebrate the release and do what they do best: play fast and recreate the energy that Exodus, Hirax and Suicidal Tendencies laid the foundation for in the 80s.
After releasing a bunch of EPs, last year they were shown on a bigger stage during Wacken Open Air. High on German festival buzz, the band went straight into writing mode and gave birth to both the ep'n Thrash and Chaos, which will be released this summer, and the debut album, which will be released this October. The album was mixed by Erik Lindgren (Lowest Creature) and mastered by Joel Grind (Toxic Holocaust, Municipal Waste). The crème de la crème of crossover paradise, in other words.
After being showcased in everything from American horror fanzines and YouTube podcasts to being praised by the student radio here in Trondheim, the band is now determined to show why parties are best with the thrash in the middle of the nose.
GNASHER: Angry and fast Gnasher has been ravaging stages in Trondheim and Oslo since 2021. With ten feet placed around in genre landscapes bordering on hardcore, these DIY boys have released music that reminds a lot, but with a peculiarity that belongs only to them. Angry, sweaty and vulnerable.
Nagirčalmmiid: Nagirčalmmiid play doom metal, but done their way. Here, everything goes from heavy and tough riffs, blast beats, melancholic chords with a sprinkling of post-hardcore, punk's speed and tasteful joik topped with noise. The concerts can be described as "two punks who happen to play doom", so don't expect your eyes turned down and standing still in one place. The band has, among other things, played at By:larm, Inferno, Øya and Midgardsblot.
