Trøndelag Center for Contemporary Art is proud to welcome you to our first exhibition in 2021, Aleksander Stav's "Apeiron", January 14 - February 14, 2021.

In his first large solo exhibition in Trondheim, Aleksander Stav presents sculptures from the period 2011 - 2019. Based on nature and wildlife, Aleksander Stav addresses various topics towards man-made technology and cultural-historical thought. How people historically transform their understanding of nature, through their discovery of it, where the transformation of nature transcends the real, to create a rather more imaginative, artificial world, and the authentic disappears.

Aleksander Stav (b. 1983, Trondheim) lives and works in Hadeland. He is an art graduate from the Bournemouth Institute of Art and Design in England and the Academy of Fine Arts in Bergen. He has had several solo exhibitions and participated in a number of exhibitions in Norway, as well as Scandinavia, Great Britain, the United States and Brazil. In recent years, the artist has worked on several large site-specific projects.
