Ann-Helen Moen & Liv Glaser

A lifelong friendship with Mozart and Grieg.
Soprano Ann-Helen Moen and pianist Liv Glaser have both grown up with Mozart and Grieg, and the composers have followed them throughout their lives and careers. This programme in Troldsalen encompasses the mind of the child and of the adult alike.
'The diversity may be seen as an image of our own musical development,' says Ann-Helen Moen.
The soprano is known as an excellent communicator, both in opera and concert, and is recognised for her superb interpretation of Mozart.
'Three years ago, when I had the opportunity to delve deep into Mozart's songs with Liv, something just clicked into place,' she says.
'We simultaneously had intense glimpses of a universe we felt compelled to explore further,' adds Liv Glaser.
In 2018 they will make a recording of Mozart lieder.
'And Mozart's Adagio in B minor K540 for piano is one of his greatest pieces. Not one single note or rest is superfluous,' adds the pianist.
Only two years after making her debut in 1960 she was the soloist in Grieg's A minor Concerto at the Bergen International Festival. She is still active as a performer and teacher.
