Around Hornindal - Norway's toughest mountain race


Hornindal Around a mountain race and ultra race that goes in a beautiful forest and mountain terrain in Hornindal municipality. The race is 75 km long, has a total climb of 5600 meters and is suitable for trained as well as experienced marathon and ultra runners. Besides a food station at 38 km, runners must bring their own food.

Ordinary route
Runners must visit 20 posts during the race. The posts are located around the mountain landscape in the whole Hornindal. The trail runs from lowland to mountain tops, down to farms, on peaks and down again. The trail is marked. During the race runners must register for 9 different manned checkpoints. This is for safety reasons, and registration of the times will be posted on the web page during the race.

Estimated running time be between 15 and 30 hours.

The race has two branches:

* Ever race: 75 km, approx. 5600 meters height and 20 current records.
* Semi race: 38 km, approx. 2900 meters height and 11 current records.
