About the film:
A thrilling drama thriller, starring Pia Tjelta, Kristoffer Joner and Tarek Zayat
A gripping thriller drama about forbidden desire and hidden longings – where the pursuit of passion puts lives in danger and leaves deep wounds in all who are drawn into the storm
The life of Eva (Pia Tjelta), a popular teacher and married to the town mayor, is turned upside down when she falls in love with a young asylum seeker. A passionate and forbidden relationship ensues – a love story that will have fateful consequences for both of them. The film explores the tension between innocence and exploitation, power and powerlessness. What may at first seem like a simple story of forbidden love develops into a thought-provoking study of cynicism and selfishness, disguised as goodness.
Finally, for the first time since Mongoland in 2001, we meet Pia Tjelta and Kristoffer Joner together on the screen again! Pia Tjelta won the award for Best Actress at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in the summer of 2025 for this role. In other roles we meet, among others, Danish Tarek Zayat and Kathrine Thorborg Johansen. The debuting director Nina Knag has also written the script, together with Kathrine Valen Zeiner.
About Babykino:
At babykino, children can be children. They are allowed to talk, scream, laugh, crawl, cry, cuddle, eat, etc.
Who is babykino for?
Babykino is for adults who want to see a good movie. You can bring children with you, but the child must be so small that they do not understand or follow the plot. The baby must be under 1 year old.
What is it like at babykino?
In order for it to be a pleasant experience for both adults and children, the sound is lower and there is a little light in the hall. That way we avoid scaring the children and it is easy to enter and exit the hall if you need to.
Stroller, baby carriers, etc.
The cinema attendant will look after your stroller while you watch a movie, so that the stroller is safely in the hallway outside the cinema. Baby carriers, changing bags, etc. can be brought into the cinema. There are no stairs to get to our cinema.
You can find a changing room in the disabled toilet in the basement.
Where can I find which films we show as baby cinema?
At www.storenkulturhus.no you will find an overview of our cinema program. You can also join our Facebook group called "Babykino på Støren". There we post baby cinemas continuously. (www.facebook.com/groups/babykinostoren/)
