The very first concert of Oslo's new early music festival Oslo Early pay tribute to the , St. Cecilia. The concert's main work is Henry Purcell's "Ode to St. Cecilia's day 1692", one of the Purcell's best known works.
Performers this evening are the singers in Gøteborg Baroque and the Oslo-based early music ensemble Barokkanerne. The concert is led by cembalist and ensemble director Lars Ulrik Mortensen, one of the great Nordic names within the realm of early music.
