In the series on baroque instruments, Barokkanerne has come to the oboe, which has a history dating back to the shepherds' scallop in the last millennium to the role of the languorous melody's main instrument in the symphony orchestra's woodwind section.
To lead the ensemble and tell the story in words and tones, they have brought with thm the Italian master oboist Alfredo Bernardini. He takes us on a journey from 16th century dance music via Louis the Fourteenth's court dancer, a virtuoso concerto by Antonio Vivaldi and Johann Sebastian Bach's touching cantata "Ich habe genug", where we have one of the foremost concert singers of our time, the baritone Johannes Weisser as soloist. Finally, Mozart's uplifting oboe quartet is performed in F major.
