Benefit Concerts at the Trondheim Christmas Market
Every day at 5:00 PM, the Trondheim Christmas Market invites you to heartwarming benefit concerts – a cherished tradition that brings music and generosity together in the Advent season. These concerts support The Salvation Army’s annual Christmas fundraising efforts, with all contributions going to their important work in Trondheim. The Salvation Army provides food support, community activities, practical help, and care for people who are facing difficult circumstances. By enjoying the music and giving what you can, you help make the holiday season brighter for those who need it most.

14.12 – Chand
On Sunday, December 14, the Christmas Market welcomes Chand, best known as Norway’s first-ever X Factor winner. While many remember his electrifying 2009 finale performance at Telenor Arena, Chand had already built a solid career over ten years in his hometown of Namsos. His artist name, meaning “moon” in Hindi, followed him from India to Norway when he was adopted as a child – and perhaps his path toward the stars was written early.

Since his breakthrough, Chand has become a beloved national artist. He topped the Norwegian charts with Diamanten, earned a gold record with Kongeriket Norge, performed for 80,000 people at Oslo’s City Hall Square during VG-lista, toured across the country and received the cultural award in his hometown. With a warm voice, heartfelt storytelling and powerful stage presence, Chand delivers a memorable holiday concert filled with emotion, energy and a true Norwegian Christmas spirit.
