Benefit Concerts at the Trondheim Christmas Market
Every day at 5:00 PM, the Trondheim Christmas Market invites you to heartwarming benefit concerts – a cherished tradition that brings music and generosity together in the Advent season. These concerts support The Salvation Army’s annual Christmas fundraising efforts, with all contributions going to their important work in Trondheim. The Salvation Army provides food support, community activities, practical help, and care for people who are facing difficult circumstances. By enjoying the music and giving what you can, you help make the holiday season brighter for those who need it most.

21.12 – Jacks Funk Youth Big Band
On Sunday, December 21, Jacks Funk Youth Big Band will take the stage at the Christmas Market. With 6 vocalists, 18 horn players, and a 6-piece rhythm section, the band delivers modern and catchy funk tunes, performing songs by artists such as Pb Underground, Phat Phunktion, Silk Sonic, Ole Børud, Dirty Loops, and more.

The 30 members come from various high schools in Trondheim and are aged 15–25 years. Under the direction of Jack Enters, the band has previously performed at Moldejazz, Jazzfest Trondheim, the Lillestrøm Big Band Festival, the Christmas Market, and Kulturnatt at Torvet. Audiences can expect an energetic, rhythmic, and infectious performance full of musical excitement.
