The Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra and Soprano Lise Davidsen visit the Opera with Sibelius, Wagner and Grieg.

Norway’s new international star soprano Lise Davidsen is the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra's featured soloist this season. At this concert, she will perform Jean Sibelius’ tone poem Luonnotar (The Spirit of Nature), with text from the Finnish national epic The Kalevala, and a selection of Edvard Grieg’s songs. The concert starts with Wagner’s efficacious Faust Overture, and concludes with Sibelius’ fifth symphony.

The Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra is led by chief conductor Edward Gardner this evening.
