Originally conceived when Lang first set his sights on New York's skyline, Metropolis depicts a dystopian future where society is polarised between two classes: The workers, toiling underground, and the rulers who live above enjoying a life of opulence and leisure. Plans of rebellion are revealed when a mad inventor begins to construct Machines to expunge the 'unwashed masses.'

Fritz Lang's genre-defining piece Metropolis will be presented on 35mm and accompanied by DRONEHENGE.

DRONEHENGE is the world's only anti-band consisting of Bergen's leading experimental artists synthesising a broad spectrum of sounds. Together, they have boiled down the essence of concert practice to the only thing that actually counts: interaction.

There's no permanent crew, rehearsals or compositions. Everything you will experience will be live and improvised.
