Bigbang celebrates 30 years with five anniversary concerts!
Most bands that start up never get out of their basement. Of those who do, few have success and very few experience getting a # 1 hit. Having great success over many years, and landing several hits along the way, is as rare as chicken teeth. Therefore, there is every reason to point out that Bigbang has been around for 30 years! Through five evenings, from Tuesday 16 to Saturday 20 August, Bigbang performs five, maybe six, of their classic albums in their entirety, live at the Park Theater.
Chew on it a bit - 30 years? Did "Wild Bird" really come out in the nineties? Was Øystein Greni still in puberty when he started the band? The answers are yes and yes. It took a few years, but from the album "Electric Psalmbook" in 1999, and not least "Clouds Rolling By" in 2000 with the signature song "Girl in Oslo", Bigbang has delivered a solid series of acclaimed albums and hit songs . Ever since the 90s, the band, in their changing constellations, has been part of the very foundation of Norwegian rock.
Therefore, 30 years must be marked, first and foremost by looking ahead. Several new songs are underway, and will appear throughout the summer and fall!
An anniversary is also an opportunity to take a look back. If you are in the capital or have the opportunity to take the trip, you can also experience something very special.
Not only is an entire evening dedicated to "Waxed", "Electric Psalmbook", "Clouds Rolling By", "Frontside Rock´n´Roll" and "Poetic Terrorism", it happens with the authentic version of Bigbang, with the crew that existed when the album was recorded.
