Billy F Gibbons

The unmistakable, bearded, eternally young and raw Texas rocker Billy F Gibbons has changed the strings, cleaned the suit, pressed the trousers and polished the boots of his wonderful solo band, The BFGs, which consists of the boss himself on guitar and lead vocals, the drummer legend Matt Sorum (The Cult, Guns 'N' Roses, Velvet Revolver) and Austin Hanks on guitar.

Gibbons, who has fronted ZZ Top for over half a century, has spent the last few years reveling in musical archeology and exploration through his solo project, releasing three critically acclaimed albums: the Afro-Cuban flavoured Perfectamundo, the messy blues album The Big Bad Blues and Joe Hardy Dedicated Hardware.
