Our children's course lasts 4 weeks, 2 hours every Tuesday.
It is an oasis for creativity and fun. All children can join, no prior knowledge is needed.
The course is intended for children between 10-16* and can be adapted if needed.

We work in small groups of between 6-10 children. The course is initially in Norwegian.
The course is led by Franziska and Petra. Franziska is a qualified educator with a lot of experience in teaching - she is the one who created the course program. The course starts precisely.

The course takes as its starting point what the child wants to make*.
Most children have many ideas when they come to the course. Working with clay is fun and offers many possibilities.
But it also has technical limitations, which can put an end to some ideas - we will find out all this during the course itself.

The course layout is as follows:

1st day of the course
Modeling - sausage technique
2nd day of the course
Modeling - using a mold
3rd day of the course
Modeling
4th day of the course
Decoration - we use underglaze to decorate what we have made so far
Turning - everyone gets to try their hand at the turntable :)

After the course, the objects are left to dry before we fire them in a raw fire. This takes about 4 weeks.

We glaze everything, the colors are chosen by the child during the course.
The glazing does not cost anything extra. The glazes in the workshop are food-friendly and the object can be washed in the dishwasher.

During the course, the child learns how a ceramics workshop works. The child is responsible for washing the equipment at the end of the course.

4 weeks after the last course, the finished objects can be picked up.

*The child participates in the course alone. If a child needs the security of a parent nearby, parents are asked to wait in our waiting area. If your child has a companion, the companion can participate for free. Companion certificate must be presented.

** Week 8 is cancelled due to the winter holidays. The course will therefore end in the first week of March.

The course fee is 1500 NOK per child and includes the following:

- children's class 2 hours per week (8 hours in total) incl. materials

- glazing incl. materials
