Every day at 6:00 PM, the Trondheim Christmas Market is filled with beautiful singing and warm holiday spirit as choirs from across the region take the stage at Torvet. Experience everything from traditional Christmas carols to fresh and modern choral music – the perfect soundtrack to your cup of mulled wine and Christmas shopping. Stop by and let yourself be carried into the festive mood by genuine choral harmonies in the heart of the city.

This evening, we welcome Heimklang and A Cappellissimo – two choirs offering tradition, quality, and true joy of singing.

Heimklang, led by conductor Jakob Godø Nordli, is one of Trondheim’s oldest choirs, established in the Heimdal area in 1923. The choir has about 50 members aged between 30 and 80. During the Christmas season, Heimklang enjoys performing at the Christmas Market, nursing homes, and local holiday concerts. After Christmas, the focus shifts to new challenges with the spring project “Music from Film and Stage” – and even a choir trip to Ålesund. At the Christmas Market, they will perform four well-known songs from both English and Norwegian Christmas traditions.

A Cappellissimo, conducted by Grete Daling, is a chamber choir dedicated to creating and conveying high-quality choral music. They achieve this through a close collaboration between conductor and singers – both musically and socially. The choir aims to surprise its audience through a varied repertoire and expressive performances, promising an evening of precision and emotion.
