Every day at 6:00 PM, the Trondheim Christmas Market fills with beautiful singing and festive cheer as choirs from across the region take the stage at Torvet. Experience everything from traditional Christmas carols to fresh and modern choral music – the perfect accompaniment to a cup of mulled wine and some holiday shopping. Stop by and let yourself be carried into the Christmas spirit with genuine choral harmonies at the heart of the city.

This evening, we welcome KoRetro and Trøndernes Mandssangforening – two choirs with long and exciting traditions, offering a varied repertoire and genuine joy of singing.

KoRetro, conducted by Jan Lennart Tryman, was founded in January 2017 and has just over 20 members. As the name suggests, the choir mainly performs music from the golden age of pop, the 1960s. KoRetro organizes choir gatherings a couple of times a year and rehearses at Dalgård School on Tuesdays from 6:30 to 9:00 PM.

Trøndernes Mandssangforening, conducted by Sverre Johan Aal, was founded on March 7, 1858, at Erichsens Conditori in Vår Frue Stræde in Trondheim. Today, the choir is based in its own premises at Brattørveita 10 and enjoys exploring all musical genres.
