Every day at 6:00 PM, the Trondheim Christmas Market fills with beautiful singing and warm holiday spirit as choirs from across the region take the stage at Torvet. Experience everything from traditional Christmas carols to fresh and modern choral music – the perfect accompaniment to a cup of mulled wine and some festive shopping. Stop by and let yourself be carried into the holiday spirit with genuine choral harmonies in the heart of the city.

This evening, we welcome Sjetnekoret, conducted by Anne Grete Nyseter.

Sjetnekoret – a choir that’s simply fun to sing in – is a mixed choir based in Sjetnemarka. The choir has around 50 singers, with a slight majority of women, balanced by a strong and steady men’s section. Sjetnekoret spreads joy and enthusiasm in the local communities of Sjetnemarka and Tiller. This year, they celebrated their 40th anniversary with a jubilee trip to Riga and a concert at Sjetne Bydelshus. Every other year, the choir stages a large cabaret performance over four evenings – both family-friendly and festive shows complete with live dance music.
