Christmas concert with NTNU Music

Welcome to the Christmas concert with performing music at NTNU!

On 30 November we kick-start Advent at 19:00 at Dokkhuset. We present familiar and unfamiliar Christmas music in new packaging! Lurking under the tree are the Vocal Ensemble's Juleklang, Konsen Spel and Rølpelag, a symphonic version of Handel's Halleluja Chorus and Jazze mer! Everything performed and arranged/composed by current and former students at the Department of Music. With the boots on the roof, the pixie beard in the letterbox and cinnamon on the porridge, we will let you into December musically.

Come and tear off the wrapping paper at a different and spacious Christmas concert!

Briefly about the organizers:
NTNU Jazzensemble is a project-based jazz orchestra, primarily with students from Jazzlinja. The projects are composed for, played in and operated by former and current students. For this Christmas concert, the NTNU jazz ensemble has been expanded to include musicians from all fields of study in performing music.

The Department of Music (IMU) has a strong and internationally recognized professional environment that offers a variety of education paths in music, from performer-focused professional education in classical, church and jazz, to studies that combine performing and reflective subjects that, within many genres and areas, investigate more closely what music is and movement has been, is and can be for man. The Department of Music is one of seven departments at the Faculty of Humanities.
