Every Sunday morning the Husflidslagen make a Santa's gnome workshop with many activities;
· Nailing: make gnomes from wooden sticks and decorate with markers.
· Angels made of wool: We start with wool, as it is when it is shorn from the sheep, card it smooth and fine and dander the wool to look like angels.
· Stick weave: We thread yarn between the twigs of a Y-stick and let this form the basis of a weave, which the children can continue to work on at home.
· Triangular loom: A simple loom, where several people can weave at the same time. The children try their hand at basic weaving techniques.
· Christmas mouse: We cut out pieces of cloth which are sewn together and filled with wool or the like. They can be decorated with embroidery or glued onto felt or pieces of leather.

The Husflidslagene in Trondheim run various activities within traditional crafts. We are 6 teams distributed around the city and Malvik. We focus on slightly different activities, which gives each team its own distinctive character. The members are mostly well-grown women, but both men, young people and children find offers for activities with us. During the Christmas market, we will work together to create activities for children.
