Open class of Contact Improvisation (CI)

CI is a form of improvised dancing that involves exploring one's body in relation to others by using the fundamentals of sharing weight, touch, and movement awareness.

The goal of workshops is a better understanding of each other's bodies by extending sensitivity and self-awareness. With the pure joy of the body in motion, we will explore our consciousness by investigating ideas like gravity, connection, points of contact, constant observation, risk-taking, falls and landings, lifts and throws.

Price: 250 NOK per participant

Contact Impro Jam

Contact Improvisation(CI) is a form of improvised dancing that involves exploring one's body in relation to others. Being mainly an art and not a commercial trend, this modern dance art attracts people worldwide by its deepness, simplicity, and sincerity. It examines the possibilities of the dance form to widen attitudes towards touch and build skills in touching and communication, as well as with people experiencing difficulties with touch.

CI practice proposes a different way of being and relating to people. It challenges our normative behavior and creates communal feelings by emphasizing togetherness and connectedness. It can have many positive effects, including enhancing awareness, encouraging playfulness and mutual support, and increasing the joy of life.
