TrondheimFOLK is celebrating 10 years as an organizer and on this occasion we are pleased to invite you to a great anniversary weekend, September 5th and 6th. On the second day of the anniversary celebration, we will start in beautiful surroundings at Rotvoll artist collective, where there will be courses in folk dancing, playing the fiddle, playing the accordion and a youth gathering. If you want to learn different folk dances and get to know nice people, come and join Embla Olsen and Thomas Nilsens class in folk dance!

The plan for the day is as follows: 
o 11:00 Trønderpols with Embla Olsen. Music: Marit Vestrum
o 12:00 Reinlender with Thomas Nilssen. Music: Thomas Lomundal
o 1 pm joint lunch included in registration fee
o 2 pm Waltz with Embla Olsen Music: Marit Vestrum
o 3 pm Polka with Thomas Nilsen Music: Thomas Lomundal

Embla Olsen works in Hilmar in Steinkjer as a folk dance teacher and will teach trønderpols and waltz during the day. Embla is from Fosen and will therefore focus on variations from there. The basic pattern is the same, but some fun variations may occur.

Thomas Nilssen is a folk musician from Løten. He comes from a family with a strong tradition of both folk music and old dance. Nilsen has received a number of awards over the years for his knowledge of dance and accordion.

The event is part of TrondheimFOLK’s 10th anniversary weekend.
