The violin playing sisters from Valdres are deeply rooted in Norwegian folk music, one of Edvard Grieg’s most significant sources of inspiration, and their concert marks the opening of Lystgården as a Festival venue.
Both Hemsing & Hemsing are firmly established as international soloists and have received outstanding reviews for their concert performances and recordings, and they are also joint artistic leaders for the Hemsing Festival. During this year’s Festival, you have the rare opportunity to experience the two violinists perform together, in addition to separate concerts by each held at Lysøen.
