We have been waiting for this concert highlight for a long time: Elisabeth Teige, newly won winner of both Kirsten Flagstad's anniversary prize and Tom Wilhelmsen's opera prize, comes straight from the Wagner Festival in Bayreuth to sing some of the greatest songs a dramatic soprano can make: Richard Wagner's Wesendonck-Lieder , interspersed with songs by contemporary Hugo Wolf and our own Edvard Grieg. Erling Ragnar Eriksen, known for his exquisite, elegant playing and among the country's most sought-after pianists, especially in this format, completes the program with piano works by Franz Liszt and Adolf Jensen. We are also visited by Richard Stokes, one of Europe's foremost Lied experts, who presents his latest book about Hugo Wolf where our own artistic director is among the contributors. We have a lot to look forward to - welcome to a rarely varied and star-studded Lied resital with us!
