Emilie Nicolas at the Opera!

Emilie Nicolas was welcomed with open arms by critics and audiences alike when she released her debut album Like I'm a Warrior in 2014. She topped the album charts and received two Spellemann awards - a feat she repeated with her next album, Tranquille Emilie (2018).

In the wake of the album release, she sold out both Sentrum Scene and two nights at the Norwegian Opera & Ballet. In 2020, her third album, Let Her Breathe, was released, which was recognised as one of the best albums of the year in several quarters.

Musically, Emilie spins a common thread from her schooled jazz background towards an increasingly innovative pop universe. In 2022, she released three singles, with Easy being her clearest step onto the dance floor so far. With pulsating beats and dark tones, it forces descriptions that could not belong to many others: Danceable melancholy. Captivating despair. Effortlessly switching between the organic and the digital.

In 2024, it will finally be possible to experience Emilie's universe in a live setting again, when she brings her fantastic band to a handful of Norwegian venues.
