“There's a thing, and certain songwriters seem to have it, where they make you lean in when they sing. Jon has that.” – Aaron Lee Tasjan about Jon Byrd
"I’m particularly fond of Eric Brace's voice – there's a yearning to it, but also a strength and authority that sounds like here's a man with truth to tell you" - John Davy, No Depression
Eric Brace is best known as the frontman and lead singer of his band, rootsrock band Last Train Home. In recent years he has toured with Peter Cooper and Thomm Jutz, and has released a number of critically acclaimed records with them. He has also distinguished himself as a strong producer and songwriter, including his collaboration with soulsanger Jerry Lawson and the work with The ”I Love: Tom T. Halls Songs of Fox Hollow”, which in 2012 gave the Brace a well-deserved Grammy nomination. In the autumn he is also current with his first solo album, a collection of old French songs – so this is a new and exciting project from a musician with many irons in the fire.
Where the Brace likes to have many balls in the air, has Jon Byrd has been faithful to countrysjangeren and his band, the Byrd's Autoparts. Since debutplata in 2007, he has now four discs to his credit. ”Dirty Ol’ River” was released in the summer, and has really put a Burden on the map as a great songwriter and one of Nashvilles finest countrysangere.
Two different artists, with one common denominator: a flair for good tunes and stories. A balmy evening with the two of Nashvilles finest vocalists and purveyors.
