Memories from Armenia
Would you like to hear music by Armenian composers? In this concert, we will hear beautiful piano solo works by Komitas and exciting chamber works by Aram Khachaturian from the 20th century, all inspired by folk music!

About the musicians:
The Armenian-Norwegian pianist Mariam Kharatyan performs internationally as a soloist and chamber musician. She has performed with many orchestras internationally. After finishing her doctorate project "Armenian Fingerprints", she is already a professor at the Institute for Classical Music and Pedagogy at the University of Agder.
Clarinettist Marita Holme is from Nordfjord, Sandane. After working with many main orchestras in Norway, she now has a position at the Norwegian Naval Music Band.
Latvian- Norwegian violinist Mara Haugen has a wide experience both as a chamber musician and orchestra player with specialisation in contemporary music. She has contributed to several recordings that has been awarded prizes such as Spellemannsprisen and Opus Klassisk music prize.
