The young Portuguese star Teresinha Landeiro has, in recent years, established herself as one of the most exciting voices in modern fado. With her distinctive interpretation and artistic vision, she brings new light to a genre deeply rooted in tradition, while daring to explore new paths.

In 2024, she released the album Para Dançar e Para Chorar, a work that demonstrates her ability to merge the soul of fado with influences from both pop and folklore. The single Chegou a Hora introduced audiences to a musical world where melancholy and joy coexist side by side. The following year, she followed up with a deluxe edition of the album, which opened new doors through special collaborations: Aurora with António Zambujo, and Visita Inesperada with Brazilian artist Jota.pê – two duets that further expand her musical universe.

Through concerts in her homeland Portugal and on international stages, Teresinha Landeiro has solidified her position as an important voice in contemporary fado. She is not only a performer of the rich tradition but also a songwriter shaping her own expression. The result is a fado that is young, ambitious, and full of light – just like the artist herself.

On February 15th 2026, Teresinha Landeiro will take the stage at Dokkhuset with TransformFOLK for the very first time!
