Forgetaboutit + Pappasaft
Saturday 9 November - The lobby. Doors open 20:00 - concert starts 21:00. 18 years age limit.
Forgetaboutit has been delivering fast, melodic and hard-hitting 90s-inspired Punk Rock for the past decade and is rumored to be one of the country's "tightest" underground bands. They have made their explosive live performances and captivating soundscape their trademark. Last year marked the highly anticipated release of their debut album Sometimes it Just Means Forgetaboutit, which was celebrated with an unforgettable release concert at John Dee. With this, FAI confirmed its position at the forefront of the advancing Norwegian punk/hardcore scene. At the same time, the music has spread even faster in the rest of the world and opened up the way forward. All the good reviews and attention surrounding the album release, lead the band on an extensive Europe/Scandinavia tour in the coming spring and summer. The previous EP releases "Compete or Die" and "The Resurrection of Everything" have already taken the skate-punks to several high points. The band has opened for Flogging Molly at Sentrum Scene, Millencolin at Folken, No Fun At All at John Dee, played Rockefeller twice, Kanalrock, Nyttårspunk, as well as playing on the biggest club stages in the country, "headlining" several Norwegian punk festivals and toured abroad. Not only that, new material has already been recorded, and it is building up to the release of new music as early as 2024!
See ya in the pit or fuckin' FORGETABOUTIT
For just over a decade, Pappasaft has roamed the country and coast with a trail of broken scenes behind them. Known as one of the country's best live experiences, they have served more and more punk fans energetic and unmistakable Gla'Core.
In the past twelve months or so, the band has managed to release the album Finally Miserable, played sold-out shows at Parkteatret and Rockefeller and celebrated New Year's at John Dee.
Now the band is changing course and out of Oslo together with ForgetAboutIt. All that can be said is that it will be one hell of a show! Welcome to frontal collision, don't fasten your seat belt, there's no point.
