Two men, a chicken, and a great many machines.
In a messy workshop, there are two mechanics in dirty overalls. With immense fascination and passion for everything that ticks and moves they have made machines that will solve the challenges they meet in their everyday life.
These two men share their workshop with a chicken. Every day she provides food for the workers: a beautiful fresh egg. But what happens if the chicken should one day suddenly lay several eggs, or suddenly disappear completely?
Garage is a messy and humorous theatre performance about creative fever and humans as creative creatures. There is no dialogue in the play, but plenty of mechanics that solve every little problem in complex processes.
Circa Teater from Trøndelag are known for their physical and visual expression, and have created an awesome performance with theatrical aesthetics that differs from what is often associated with children’s theatre. Here, the poetry lies in the ugly and rough, not in the beautiful and clean. The first performance received a rare six out of six stars in Adresseavisen.
‘One pair of eyes is far from enough when you try to take in all that is happening towards the end, when the machines in the messy workshop interact on an epic level.’ – ADRESSEAVISEN
