In the midst of the pandemic, Gary Olson from New York and the legendary indie band The Ladybug Transistor released their first album under their own name. The album was a collaboration with Olson's old friends, the songwriter brothers Jørn and Ole Johannes Åleskjær (The Loch Ness Mouse) and it was recorded in Norway and New York with musicians from, among others, The Loch Ness Mouse, Serena Maneesh and Psychedelic Furs. In retrospect, Gary Olson and Ole Johannes Åleskjær as a duo have done between 40 and 50 concerts in six different countries, and they return to Norway this summer for the fourth summer in a row, after doing their second Japan tour in late May/early June.

You can expect elaborate, acoustic pop music driven by Olson's baritone vocals and trumpet and Åleskjær's guitar playing. Åleskjær will also play solo material this evening. The musicians have long careers behind them on each side, including in the bands The Ladybug Transistor and The Loch Ness Mouse, both of which have been in Trondheim a number of times.
